Among the highlights of our upcoming schedule are a behind-the-scenes tour of 3D printing pioneers Amaero Engineering. Later in October, AMTIL will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM), and business futurist Morris Miselowski will be there to provide the keynote address: ‘FutureCurious’. In addition, bookings are now open for our ever-popular range of Christmas events.

  • AMTIL Tour of Amaero Engineering

Amaero manufactures complex metallic components by laser-based additive manufacturing. The company uses two techniques: selective laser melting (SLM) and blown powder laser melting. Its SLM machines have the largest build volume in the world.

On AMTIL’s tour of Amaero’s facility you will have the opportunity to: learn about some of the key applications of 3D printing; connect with Amaero staff and find out more about their scope and technologies; and grow your network by liaising with likeminded industry representatives

  • Are You FutureCurious? AMTIL Special Presentation & AGM
    20 October, 7.30am to 10.30am
    Riversdale Golf Club, Mount Waverley, VIC

Business futurist Morris Miselowski will provide the keynote address: ‘FutureCurious’. Morris has been hailed by industry leaders as “the secret weapon to future‐proofing your business”, incredibly adept and eerily accurate at navigating the rapidly evolving and shifting technological, business and social landscapes over the past three decades.

Following Morris’s one-hour presentation, AMTIL’s AGM will offer members the opportunity to hear about the association’s latest plans and initiatives, as well as getting an update on the previous year’s activities. It will also offer the chance for AMTIL members to network with each other and with members of the AMTIL team.

  • Swinburne Factory of The Future – Joint Site Tour with Aviation/Aerospace Australia (A/AA)

AMTIL has teamed up with Aviation/Aerospace Australia (A/AA) to present a joint site tour of the Factory of the Future at Swinburne University and Technology. Located in the Advanced Manufacturing and Design Centre at Swinburne, the Factory of the Future showcases unique and integrated value-adding capabilities for advanced design, manufacturing and materials engineering.

  • AMTIL 2016 Corporate Golf Day & Christmas Lunch
    2 December – Golf commences at 7.30am
