The International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS) Emerging Technology Forum (ETF) Digital Transformation in Aerospace is taking place on 9-10 September 2019 at RMIT University, Storey Hall, Melbourne.
The ICAS ETF will be held in conjunction with the ICAS Programme Committee meeting hosted by the Royal Aeronautical Society, Australian Division and Engineers Australia.
Digital transformation is changing the aerospace industry, including maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO), by increasing is speed, flexibility, agility and efficiency greater integration and with transparency at every point of the supply/support chain. Connectivity through the internet, embedded sensors, cloud computing, augmented reality, artificial intelligence and blockchain transactions are just a few enabling technologies driving the industry in what is generally referred to as Industry 4.0. The aerospace industry is leading the revolution to enhance customer experience, redefine products/services and establish a value chain by effective collaboration between manufacturers, suppliers and customers.
