SouthStart Conference
Adelaide Town Hall
22-23 November 2018

Tech business leaders will share their success stories at the SouthStart conference – a Tech-focused start-up event. Key themes: Artificial Intelligence, space and future transport technologies.
20 speakers are scheduled, including Cameron Adams; co-founder of online design company Canva, and Lewis Horne; Chief Executive of Swedish electric car manufacturer Uniti.
Event director Craig Swann said the program, backed by the State Government, would expose South Australia’s entrepreneurial and technological feats to the world stage through workshops, activities and keynote speakers. “We aim to inspire, connect and unite and a lot of that’s through the story telling of the people who have been through the journey before, and sharing their stories, good or bad,” Mr Swann said. The conference — geared towards entrepreneurs, investors and students — would also attract interstate and overseas investment.
Mr Swann said Cameron Adams’ company Canva was an excellent case-study for emerging entrepreneurs. “They’ll provide context on what it’s like to grow a company from an idea to something that’s impacting millions of people,” he said.
Super Early Bird tickets cost $149.
