National Manufacturing Week (NMW) will offer a range of opportunities to see innovative manufacturing solutions in action, from 11-13 May at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.

Among the highlights of this year’s event is its demonstration program, featuring new robotics, safety, cleaning, welding and riveting solutions, giving visitors a first-hand experiences of how new technologies can work for their businesses. NMW 2016’s live demonstrations will take place at various locations on the expo floor, throughout the event. Visitors will see innovative technology, meet the revolutionary robot that carries out previously impractical-to-automate precision tasks, and observe fast 3D printing of working parts.

Demonstration program highlights include:

Wednesday 11 May

  • 11:00am – Multicam Systems (Stand 1820). Showing how high-quality, high-performance, made-in-Australia Multicam CNC routing machines solve your CNC machine requirements.
  • 11:45am – OMAX (Stand 1026). Demonstrating precision waterjet systems that cut virtually any material without any heat-affected zone, eliminating the need for secondary operations.
  • 2:20pm – Kemppi Australia (Stand 1226). Kemppi will be welding with its new Pulse Mig welding package, with performance monitoring via its KAS3 online welding management system.
  • 3:00pm – Konica Minolta (Stand 1402). Live demonstration of 3D printing solutions that help companies create working prototypes, parts and custom-made products in a fraction of the time currently required.

Thursday 12 May

  • 11:00am – ATOM Vending Machines (Stand 2030). Dispensing safety and industrial products, with the reporting software that allows customers to track their inventory.
  • 11:40am Impact Robotics (Stand 1010). Come meet Sawyer, the revolutionary new high-performance collaborative robot designed for precise tasks, and the MiR100 Autonomous robot, which can be taught to carry goods to designated points without complicated programming.
  • 12:40pm – Cryonomic Australia (Stand 2126). Demonstrating dry ice cleaning as a fast, efficient cleaning system that can be used to clean equipment in place, without harsh abrasion, chemicals, water or additional waste.
  • 1:30pm – Innovative Welding (Stand 1330). Live demonstration of K-TIG, the game changing welding process set to revolutionise the welding industry.
  • 2:30pm – Autofast (Stand 2416). Demonstrating the patented AutoFast Auto-Feed Riveting System that can set new rivet-speed records with a time of one rivet per second.

Friday 13 May

  • 10:45am – Ensitech (Stand 1430). Ensitech will be showcasing its easy-to-use and portable TIG Brush Stainless Steel Weld Cleaning System delivering superior weld cleaning and passivation. Clive White, managing director of Ensitech, comments: “This is a process that you have to see to believe! The ‘TIG Brush Effect’ is the wide-eyed look of disbelief that people get when they see, for the first time, the TIG Brush’s superior capabilities. We hope you’ll join us for our demonstration at NMW and get the ‘TIG Brush Effect’ for yourself!”

NMW is Australia’s largest, longest-running manufacturing event, presenting industry with options that can help open up new business horizons. This year, NMW will showcase hundreds of products and services that help boost manufacturing innovation, productivity and capabilities, alongside a highly topical conference program in which manufacturing and other leaders will share case studies around growth, as well as strategies for growth and success.

To bring together a broad range of industry professionals, NMW 2016 will be co-located with Inside 3D Printing, the Sydney edition of the largest professional 3D printing event worldwide, as well as the Safety First Conference & Expo, Australia’s one-stop safety event.

With demonstrations running alongside a full expo, a topical conference program and thousands of industry visitors expected to attend, NMW 2016 is shaping up as a rich source of new ideas and opportunities.
