Be part of the conversations that shape our industry's future.
As AMTIL continues lifting the voices of its members, and strengthening and unifying our sector, members are invited to express their interest in contributing to its new Policy Council.
Members who are passionate about advancing Australian precision manufacturing and who can bring strategic perspectives from their business and market experience are encouraged to apply.
The establishment of AMTIL’s new Policy Council will bring together experienced leaders from across Australia’s advanced manufacturing sector. The influential group will provide strategic input to help directly inform and shape policy positions on the issues that matter most to our sector, identify emerging opportunities and challenges, and ensure AMTIL remains a strong and credible voice with government and decision-makers.
Membership of the Policy Council offers a unique opportunity to move beyond discussion and contribute directly to outcomes that support the future competitiveness of Australian advanced manufacturing. We’re looking for leaders who want to:
- Elevate the voice of manufacturing in state and national discussions
- Share insights on issues affecting Australian advanced manufacturing
- Collaborate with industry peers and thought leaders
- Help shape AMTIL’s future advocacy priorities
- Leave a lasting impact on the sector.
The Policy Council is an extension of AMTIL’s inclusive culture, and as such members from diverse manufacturing industries and capabilities, company sizes, and locations, are encouraged to apply to best unlock responsive and coordinated industry action.
You don’t need to have had previous policy experience. It’s an opportunity for members with a strong interest in policy, government engagement, and industry growth, to contribute directly to AMTIL’s policy agenda.
The Council will meet on a regular basis (approximately six times per year), and involvement is voluntary. Council members will be recognised on the AMTIL website in acknowledgement of the appreciation we have for their time and contributions as we collectively provide advice on key areas that are essential to growth and advancement of the sector.
If you have further questions about the Policy Council, or AMTIL’s policy and advocacy plans, you can connect with our Director, Policy & Government Affairs Karen Parr on policy@amtil.com.au.
Applications are open until 30 October 2026. Apply Now.
