Metallic Additive Manufacturing technology has progressed significantly over the last two decades. It is considered among one of a set of disruptive technologies of this century. It is slowly gaining traction and use in industry as the benefits of implementing the technology become more apparent. But, over the last five years, how widely implemented and how useful has the technology been? Thus far, this has not been simple and straightforward to answer.
In the current situation of Covid-19, much discussion circulates about the key advantages of additive manufacturing (3D printing) which is highlighting the practicality of this technology during a time of need.
