Join us for a Weld Australia Vic State Committee face-to-face event, welcoming both members and non-members from the welding industry, school leavers and their parents. Apprentices, Tradesman looking for a career change.
The purpose of the evening is to encourage young school leavers to take on an apprenticeship and provide some guidance on career paths beyond being a boiler maker.
This evening will provide guests with a description of what is involved in becoming a boiler maker/welder and the career path options beyond. It will also provide an insight into the training available and give guests an opportunity to ask questions of people from various job roles.
Highlights of the event:
Victor Blain, GM Engineering of Weld Australia, will open the event with an introduction describing Weld Australia.
Matthew Billman and James Johnson will present a flow chart describing career path options explain what each job role involves.
There will be various guests from other welding related career paths describing their own career pathways, and their career journey.
After the presentations the guests will have the opportunity to ask questions.
