Inventors, founders, investors and supporters of the deep-tech ecosystem are invited to view Australia’s most promising scaleups at this year’s Australian Technologies Competition National Finals & Awards on 25 & 26 October 2021.

Owned and operated by Impact Tech Ventures, the Australian Technologies Competition helps to spotlight and support the commercialisation of home-grown tech scale-ups with global potential solving problems in an array of sectors, complementing Australia’s growth sectors and high-value industries such as manufacturing, clean-tech, cyber, mining technologies, energy, ag-tech and more.

Past and present alumni in the manufacturing sector include:

Monday 25 October 2021– National Finals & Judging

The National Finals is a full day showcase of this year’s best technology scaleups from across Australia, where finalists competing in 11 different industry categories will deliver a 5-minute pitch LIVE, in front of the Judges and a guest audience, immediately followed by ten minutes of Q&A. This year’s finalists will be announced 5 October.

Tuesday 26 October 2021 – Leadership Panel & Awards Ceremony

On Tuesday 26 October, an international panel will map out opportunities for technology companies in the world of sustainability and how the ecosystem should support their growth. Guest speakers include:

  • Dr Zhengrong Shi – Founder of Suntech Power
  • Dr Jemma Green – Cofounder and Chair, Powerledger
  • Michele Lemmens – Head of Business Sustainability and CTO Asia Pacific, Tata Consultancy Services
  • Mara Bun – Chair, Australian Impact Investments

Following the leadership panel will be a highly entertaining one-hour awards ceremony where this year’s winners will be crowned in their sectors. The event will be compered by radio personality, media expert and public speaker James O’Loghlin, who will be announcing and interviewing each of the winners.
