This One-Day Conference is in collaboration with the Australian Manufacturing Technology Institute Limited (AMTIL), Australian Manufacturing Week, BioMelbourne Network and the Medical Technology Association of Australia (MTAA).
Our plastics industry is continuing to play an important role in the medical device industry because of the features polymers can provide to applications including design, its ease of manufacturing and the safety it can provide in manufacturing, application and in healthcare.
The industry is characterised by its high level of innovation.
This One-Day Conference will provide examples of such innovation and application of a wide variety of polymers.
The day will cover design, suitability of polymers, selection of materials and how to set up safe manufacturing of plastics-based devices meeting healthcare needs.
