There have been changes to the Export Market Development Grant. There are now three different tiers of EMDG grants available to eligible SMEs, providing varying levels of support depending on their export-maturity:
- Tier 1: For those that are new to exporting (or have previously received only one EMDG grant), grants of up to $40,000 per financial year for up to 2 years
- Tier 2: For those that are already exporting eligible products and are seeking to expand export promotion activity, grants of up to $80,000 per financial year for up to 3 years
- Tier 3: For those that are exporting eligible products and are seeking to expand promotion activity and make a strategic shift in the marketing of eligible products in a foreign country, grants of up to $150,000 per financial year for up to 3 years.
