Servitization is the act of transforming your business model from selling products towards providing services attached to your products, offering customers reassurance and a guaranteed capability; outcomes enabled by adopting a customer needs focus and coupled with technologically enhanced products. Servitization has evolved from base and intermediate services into advanced services, for example, heating-as-a service, lighting-as-a-service and compressed air-as-a-service.
Through servitization, particularly intermediate and advanced services, evidence shows that businesses can expect a triple-bottom-line impact of people, planet, and profit, along with a long-term impact of differentiation, financial sustainability, increased market share, and customer loyalty.
Swinburne University’s Advanced Manufacturing Industry 4.0 Hub (AMI4Hub) have partnered with the Advanced Services Group (ASG) from the UK to deliver this workshop. ASG have been successfully pioneering servitization in the UK and across the globe over the past few decades.
In this workshop we will explore:
• What is servitization and the levels of servitization
• Why you should servitize
• How to servitise, including case studies and examples from the UK and Australia
• Servitization journey challenges
• Support available to guide your journey
