What We Do
Spread over five divisions, our portfolio ranges from light switches to robots for painting cars and packing food, and from huge electrical transformers to control systems that manage entire power networks, vast mining operations and state-of-the-art factories.
In ABB, we have a proud history of many ‘firsts’. In 2012, ABB Australia patented another world first – technology to recycle SF6 gas to technical grade purity. ABB’s technology can effectively close the loop on this greenhouse gas, the significance of which was recognised in ABB being awarded a prestigious Banksia Environmental award.
