Quoba Systems designs and manufactures dedicated laser micromachining systems, offers process development and small-scale manufacturing services. Laser micromachining enables ultra-high precision processing of virtually any material including metals, ceramics, glasses, composites, crystals and more. We optimise systems and processes for various tasks including cutting, drilling, milling, welding, marking, surface texturing and more. Typically, we work with materials that are difficult to process using traditional manufacturing techniques for example machining brittle materials like glass or ceramics, small diameter tubes, thin metal foils, removing thin coatings, texturing surfaces, processing heat sensitive materials, welding traditionally difficult-to-weld materials and more.

We welcome both industrial and academic customers who are looking to upgrade their manufacturing or R&D capabilities with the latest state-of-the-art laser micromachining technology. The company was founded by Dr. Ricardas Buividas and Dr. Adam Chrimes both PhDs in physics with 10+ years of experience in high-tech industries developing custom laser micromachining and optical inspection systems for companies in semiconductor, hard disk and pharmaceutical industries including technology giants like Seagate, Amkor, West Pharmaceutical, Continental and more. In Australia, both co-founders were working with universities and medical research groups developing custom laser instruments for optical excitation and sensing applications.
