Southwell Lifts and Hoists

We are an Australian engineering and manufacturing business established in 1945. All products are designed and manufactured in-house at our factories in Camden and Smeaton Grange NSW. Our niche market is in the custom design, fabrication and installation of lifts and hoists as well as being well known in the Australian aviation industry for Ground Support Equipment.

Since our early days mining and transporting the sand for the construction of the Sydney Harbour bridge, we have evolved into a specialised lifting equipment manufacturer. After the Second World War, Southwell began making large truck cranes, then progressed into elevated work platforms and more recently our focus has been on designing and manufacturing goods hoists to AS1418 part 8.

We have done thousands of projects over the years. We are the leading supplier of goods lifts for the Self Storage industry, as well as car lifts for the residential and commercial market and high capacity goods lifts to retailers.
