Sandvik Coromant to make debut at Australian Manufacturing Week
For the first time, metal cutting and manufacturing solutions expert Sandvik Coromant will attend Australian Manufacturing Week (AMW). Taking place May 6 to 9, 2025, at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre (MCEC), Sandvik Coromant will join its software partners, Vericut and Mastercam, to provide an advisory service to visitors looking to optimise their machine investment and tool management strategies.
AMW2025 will showcase the latest advancements in the manufacturing sector, featuring over 400 exhibitors and thousands of visitors. The exhibition is divided into various zones, including machine tools, additive manufacturing, manufacturing solutions, and robotics and automation. Sandvik Coromant will be in the Manufacturing Solutions Zone, exhibiting from stand MS360.
To provide visitors with a comprehensive solution overview, Vericut and Mastercam will share a stand with Sandvik Coromant. This collaboration offers visitors the chance to explore the latest advancements in digital manufacturing, machine investment strategies, and process engineering.
Sandvik Coromant will host an advisory booth to consult visitors on optimising their machining challenges, offering solutions for complex components and supporting new projects. At the stand, Manufacturing Wellness- a term coined by Sandvik Coromant in 2023- will be central to discussions. This concept revolves around eight essential habits, including a holistic approach, waste reduction, investment in automation, and collaboration with strong partners. It serves as a framework for enhancing operational resilience and future-proofing the manufacturing industry.
Sandvik Coromant’s entire offering will be showcased through interactive digital displays. The stand will highlight Sandvik Coromant’s CoroPlus® Tool Supply inventory software, installed in the Robocrib TX750 vending machine, a popular solution in Australia and the surrounding Asia region. This all-in-one tool management software efficiently manages and tracks assets and equipment by automating the tool supply process. It utilises real-time data to streamline tool logistics, optimise tool inventory, reduce downtime, and enhance efficiency.
Visitors to the stand will be welcomed by several members of the local team, including Manny Valenza, Sales Cluster Manager for South East Asia and Oceania; Paul Bayliss, Regional Sales Manager; and Greg Bennett, Channel Manager.
“Our focus at AMW will be on providing expert guidance and practical strategies,” said Manny Valenza. “Our booth will serve as an advisory hub for visitors, offering insights and advice on optimising tool management and machining strategies. This will be enhanced by our collaborations with Vericut and Mastercam, which will aid visitors in discovering how to optimise their existing setups for maximum impact. “
“We understand that the future of manufacturing lies in continuous improvement and innovation,” continued Valenza. “Manufacturing Wellness encompasses more than merely reducing waste or cutting costs. It involves developing the habits and processes that will ensure your operation remains agile, sustainable, and competitive for years to come. Attending AMW for the first time enables us to convey this important message and assist manufacturers in optimising their processes to future-proof their businesses.”
“At the show, our collaboration with Vericut and Mastercam demonstrated how strategic partnerships can deliver real value by combining deep expertise, shared goals and complementary technologies,” said Manny Valenza Sales Cluster Manager for SEAO. “These relationships give manufacturers access to smarter solutions at every stage, from planning and simulation to machining optimisation.
“Our partnership with Vericut elevates the brand’s machining intelligence, broadens their software solutions and enhances their influence in crucial segments of the customer value chain. Vericut’s product lineup includes VERICUT®, a versatile machining simulation and optimisation tool compatible with all major CAM systems, machine tools and cutting tools. At AMW, Vericut showcased its simulations and Force Optimisation, while Mastercam presented CAM solutions and programming support to highlight the power of connected technologies working in harmony.
“This holistic approach reflects our broader strategy of working with trusted partners to help customers build resilient, optimal and sustainable operations,” continued Valenza. “By leveraging shared expertise and integrated digital tools, we ensure manufacturers leave not just with solutions, but with a long-term support system for achieving Manufacturing Wellness.”
