As the national Census draws a new picture of Australia, advanced manufacturing leaders are invited to contribute their views to AMTIL’s new National Advanced Manufacturing Census by 18 September, and shape our industry’s story. The AMTIL Census will create the most comprehensive snapshot of advanced manufacturing priorities for the businesses building Australia's future.
Every manufacturer has a story to tell, but real influence comes when hundreds of businesses tell that story together. All advanced manufacturing and supplier company leaders are called on to participate in the National Advanced Manufacturing Census, and to build the evidence needed to advocate for the policies, skills and investment that our advanced manufacturing industry needs to thrive. Governments and decision-makers rely on data when setting priorities. The greater the participation, the more complete the picture, and the stronger our industry’s influence can be. If you’re part of advanced manufacturing, your business counts.
Participation shapes decisions. If we don’t count ourselves, we’re counting ourselves out of the nationally-important conversation. Take part and help shape what comes next.
This Census is part of AMTIL’s new and dedicated Policy & Government Affairs Branch that is strengthening the voice of Australia’s advanced manufacturing sector and increasing engagement with governments on the issues that matter most to industry.
About the Census
The Census provides a strong evidence base on the matters that mean the most to manufacturers.
Three short Census sections will take around ten minutes to complete. Together, they help us to understand the highest priority issues for the sector; whether the barriers are national or localised; and how concerns vary across differ across our advanced manufacturing industry. We welcome responses from Australia’s entire advanced manufacturing sector.
The online Census is the start of the conversation. In-person member-only roundtables will be run in each major state. It’s an opportunity for business leaders to connect with their peers and discuss the issues of most concern as we build on the emerging themes that the online Census revealed, and help shape where AMTIL focuses its policy efforts on behalf of the sector.
A Census report will be published; responses will be de-identified and aggregated, alongside insights gathered through direct consultation.
Data drives decisions. Make yours count.
Your voice. Our industry. Our future.
