A family business since 1953 In 1953, Wilhelm Sülzle split his long-established ironmongery factory among his sons and his son-in-law Heinrich Blickle into three standalone companies. The newly founded company Blickle assumed the production of iron wheelbarrow wheels, developing it into a range of high-quality wheels in addition to swivel and fixed castors. Typically Swabian virtues such as hard work, an obsession with quality and the genes of inventors all contribute to continual product improvement. After the sudden death of the company’s founder Heinrich Blickle in 1961, his wife Elisabeth Blickle took over as Managing Director. Today, Reinhold Blickle, son of the company’s founder, runs the company as executive partner together with his wife Denise Blickle and Walter Wager. Under their management, Blickle has developed into one of the leading manufacturers of wheels and castors worldwide over the past few decades. Progress and keeping with the traditional values of the family company go hand in hand – a corporate philosophy that will be continued into the third generation.

Originally established under the name of “CNC Engineering Solutions”, Plazmax Technologies has been in the CNC game since 2011. We initially offered a service designing machinery and parts and manufacturing, using CNC milling machinery. The business plan was always to eventually identify a need within the market and manufacture our own branded product. Our criteria required that the product needed to include technical elements that would utilise and challenge our existing skill sets. Through a set of circumstances, we found our way to Plasma cutting and more particularly the design and manufacture of CNC profile cutting systems. After a period of research, we identified Hypertherm as a world leader in the design and manufacture of plasma cutting componentry. We purchased the (then newly released) PMX105 power source and built our first CNC plasma cutting system, (which is still producing products today). From that point, our learning process was rapid, as was the evolution of our designs. We obtained OEM status from Hypertherm and sent our technicians to the USA for further training on Hypertherm products and processes. We rebranded ourselves as Plazmax Technologies to better reflect our changing business and embarked on an accelerated period of prototyping. Our designs exclusively…
